R.D. Tanner spent more than two decades in federal service, serving with 5 different agencies and military service in the U.S. Army, before transitioning into cybersecurity consulting and AI education.

Today, he runs True North Cyber Solutions, LLC, a cybersecurity consulting firm, and SkillsHelper, an AI education and consulting practice focused on making artificial intelligence genuinely useful for people who aren’t technology professionals.

AI for Your Business is the first book in The Unlocked Series, an eight-book series designed to help people across every walk of life cut through the hype and put AI tools to work in practical, immediate ways.

He lives in Germany with his wife Heather and their dog Daisy.
